Our school organised a cleanliness drive under Swach Bharat Mission Programme on the ocasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the students regarding cleanliness and its benefits. Under this programme, all the students from 9 th to 12 th had to participate. Teachers were the essential part of this drive. In this cleanliness drive, we had to clean the whole school. The sweepers of the school had to be the observers.
Our Principal started the programme by cleaning the corners of the playground. Then the teachers and students followed the suit. All the teachers and students did the dusting of the rooms. Posters were prepared and pasted around the school premises in order to create awareness. After collecting the garbage from the rooms, it was through into the dustbins.
There after, our Principal delivered the speech telling us the importance of sanitation. He also honored the sweepers of the school for their noble job. In the end, we all took an oath of keeping our homes, locality, and city clean. It was a unique experience for all of us.
