Question : 3
Total: 5
"Despite women participation in family farm activities, they are not categorised as workers". Explain why?
Solution:
A worker is a person who is involved in productive activities to earn his livelihood. But the activities which are not done with the objective of earning money or the tasks of the family members which are done out of love and affection are not considered as economic activities. As the participation of women in family farm activities is to support the main earning member of her family out of love and affection and not to earn money, that is why they are not categorised as workers.
