Hazards of Environment Pollution
By: Praveen/Prerna
(Secretary, Eco-Club, Bharati School)
Pollution is a major hazard in today's world. While significant progress has been made in fields such as medicine, transportation, and lifestyle, the resulting environmental pollution is intolerable. Pollution can be caused by a variety of factors, including discharging toxic chemicals into water bodies due to indiscriminate industrialization, smoke from chimneys, factories, and vehicles leading to respiratory diseases, disposal of e-waste and medical waste polluting soil and water, and noise pollution from machinery and construction causing deafness in millions of people.
It is essential to raise awareness and educate the public about keeping the environment clean, and the media can play a significant role in this regard. Strict laws should be enacted to deter violators, and NGOs should take the initiative to educate the masses on keeping their surroundings clean. Public seminars, workshops, and exhibitions should be held regularly to promote these initiatives.
