Agriculture and industry both are complementary for their growth.
(i) Agriculture provides the raw material for a large number of industries such as cotton and jute textiles, the sugar industry and many others.
(ii) The industries make machines and other products which help the farmers in agricultural activities. For example, irrigation pumps, tractors, fertilisers, pesticides, plastic and PVC pipes, machines and tools, etc.
