Three institutional reforms taken for the development of Indian agriculture are:
(i) There was the establishment of the Grameen banks, cooperative societies and banks to provide cheap credits to the people in villages for agricultural activities.
(ii) There were a few schemes like Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and Personal Accident Insurance Scheme (PAIS) launched by the government for the benefit of the farmers.
(iii) The government also worked towards the collectivisation and consolidation of the holdings of agricultural land for achieving better productivity.
