Following are the rights of a consumer:
(i) Right to consumer education: A consumer has a right to acquire knowledge about their rights and the relief available to them in case of exploitation. Many government and nongovernment organisations work actively in this regard and many programs are also conducted in this regard.
(ii) Right to choose: A consumer has the right to choose from a variety of goods and services at competitive prices as per their requirement. The consumer has the right to have access to a variety of products at fair and competitve prices. Thus, the retailer or the supplier should offer a variety of products in terms of quality, brand, price, etc.
