(i) Right to safety: The right to safety protects consumers against goods and services that are hazardous to life, health and property, for example, electrical appliances and cooking gas cylinders with manufacturing defects. The consumer has the right to be protected against such defective products and make complaint to consumer forum if any problem arises.
(ii) Right to be heard: In case of any grievance or dissatisfaction, a consumer has the right to file a complaint and seek redressal against any form of exploitation in appropriate forums established by the government on the basis of amount involved and issue. Many consumer organisations and associations also work in this direction.
