Principles of Management were given by Henri Fayol. Division of Work; Authority and Responsibility and; Discipline were some of the 14 principles laid down by Fayol.
Division of Work: According to this principle, "as far as possible the whole work should be divided into small parts and each individual should be assigned only the part of the work according to his ability and skills repeatedly so that the benefits of specialisation may be achieved.
