(c) Time study
Time study is a technique which is used to determine the standard time taken by a worker to perform a well-defined job. It determines how much work an employee should be able to do in a given period of time.
The objectives of time study are :
(i) To determine the number of workers required to do a job.
(ii) To determine standard time required to perform a job.
(iii) To categorise the workers in efficient and inefficient categories.
(iv) To determine the cost of labour
