Advantage of air transport over water transport :
(i) Air transport is the fastest mode of transport while water transport is the slowest mode of transport.
(ii) Air transport is best suited for perishable and others goods while water transport is not suitable for such type of goods due to deteriorate as its speed is low.
(iii) Air transport is not hindered by geographical barriers while water transport has physical barrier of geographical conditions.
(iv) Air transport adopts the most direct and shortest route while water transport may be quite circuitous.
(v) Air transport follows strictly to fixed time schedule, delay in avoided which is very much in water transport.
