Various ways by which consumers are exploited :
(i) The goods sold in the market are sometimes not measured or weighted correctly.
(ii) Adulteration (mixing undesirable élements) is done in the costly items as oil, ghee, milk, spices etc to earn higher profit.
(iii) Seller sometimes mislead people by giving wrong information about the products, price, quality, safety, expiry date, maintenance etc.
(iv) Sometimes sellers charge higher price than the MRP.
(v) Many suppliers donot provide satisfactory after-sale service.
(vi) In name of genuine parts of goods, fake and duplicate items are being sold to the customers.
