Three duties of consumer are.
(a) A consumer should check information printed on the product like expiry and manufacturing date, ingredients quantity, etc.
(b) Consumers ask cash memo as a proof of purchase for claiming compensation against defects in the goods purchase.
(c) He or she should ensure that the seal of the product is not broken.
(d) Consumer should look for quality certification marks like ISI, FPO, woolmark, pure cotton etc. while purchasing goods. This will help to eradicate the problems of adulteration and spurious products.
(e) Consumers should be careful about false and misleading advertisement. Advertisement often exaggerate the utility of products and services. Therefore, consumers should compare the uses of altermative products given in advertisements.
