Question : 65
Total: 72
Solution:
Let f (x) = x 4 (5 sin x – 3 cos x) ... (i)
Differentiating (i) with respect to x, we get
[f (x)] = ( x 4 ) ′ [5 sin x − 3 cos x] + x 4 [5 sin x − 3 cos x]′
=4 x 3 [5 sin x – 3 cos x] + x 64 [5 cos x + 3 sin x]
= 20x 3 sin x – 12 x 3 cos x + 5 x 4 cos x + 3 x 4 sinx
=x 3 sin x (20 + 3x) + x 3 cos x (5x – 12)
Differentiating (i) with respect to x, we get
