Question : 13
Total: 106
Solution:
We have given, a 1 = a 2 = 2 , a n = a n − 1 - 1 ,
a 1 = 2 , a 2 = 2 , a 3 = a 2 - 1 = 2 - 1 = 1,
a 4 = a 3 - 1 = 1 - 1 = 0 and a 5 = a 4 - 1 = 0 - 1 = - 1
Hence the first five terms of the given sequence are 2, 2, 1, 0, – 1.
The corresponding series is
2 + 2 + 1 + 0 + (– 1) + .......
