Question : 18
Total: 74
Passing through ( 2 , 2 √ 3 ) and inclined with the x-axis at an angle of 75°.
Solution:
We know that the equation of a line with slope m and passing through the point ( x 0 , y 0 ) is given by (y – y 0 ) = m(x – x 0 )
Here,m = tan 75° = 2+√ 3 , x 0 = 2, y 0 = 2 √ 3
Hence, required equation is (y -2 √ 3 ) = (2 + √ 3 ) (x - 2)
⇒ y -2 √ 3 = 2x + √ 3 x - 4 - 2 √ 3 ⇒ ( 2 + √ 3 ) x - y - 4 = 0
Here,m = tan 75° = 2+
Hence, required equation is (y -
⇒ y -
