Solution:
(i) Friedel-Crafts reaction (Alkylation) :
(ii) Nitration of anisole : Anisole reacts with a mixture of concentrated sulphuric acid and nitric acid to yield a mixture of ortho and para nitroanisole.
(iii) Bromination
(iv) Friedel-Craft’s acetylation of anisole.
