Given: Discount = 13% Selling Price of oven = Rs. 18000 New discount = 27.5% Formula Used: M.P - M.P × discount% = S.P Where, M.P = Marked Price, S.P = Selling Price Calculation: Let the marked price be x Now, Accroding to the formula used $x - \left( \frac{13}{100} \right) \times x = 18000$ ⇒ x = Rs 20,689.66 Now, we have to find New Selling price New Selling price $= x - \left( \frac{27.5}{100} \right) \times x$ ⇒ New Selling price $= 20,689.66 - 20,689.66 \times \left( \frac{27.5}{100} \right)$ ∴ New Selling price = Rs 15,000
