Given: 2 women and 3 men can complete a task in 10 days
A woman is 20% more efficient than a man.
Formula used: M1×Eff1×D1=M2×Eff2×D2,
Where M = Number of workers,
D = Number of days and
Eff. = Efficiency of a worker
Calculation: A woman is 20% more efficient than a man
Since,
20%= S0, If we take efficiency of man is 5 then the efficiency of woman = 6
Let the required time be ‘D’ days.
According to the question
(2 × 6 + 3 × 5) × 10 = (9 × 5) × D
⇒
D==6 days
∴ The time taken by 9 men to complete the work is 6 days.
