(Q.105 - 109): Read the following passage and answer the following questions given below it. Once there lived a rich man. He had a beautiful garden with lovely flowers and sweet- smelling plants. The trees were full of fruits. One day a mischievous bird came to the garden. It plucked off many fruits. It dropped some on the ground. It spoiled the beauty of the garden. The gardener felt sad. He realised the damage. He decided to catch the bird. He spread a net. He hid behind a bush. He waited silently, the bird was caught in the net. He grasped it and was about to kill it. Then the bird spoke politely to him. It praised him. The gardener was pleased. His anger had gone. The bird proposed an argument. It would reveal three golden maxims in return to its freedom. The gardener accepted. The bird told the gardener about the three maxims. The first one was not to believe impossibilities. The second was not to trust a dishonest person. The third was not to regret over the things could not beset right. As per the agreement, the gardener, set the bird free. The bird sat on a branch of a near by tree. It laughed at him. It said that it had a huge gem within its tiny body. On hearing this, the gardener wept and beat his brain. He was foolish enough to belive the words of the bird about the gem. Regarding the second rule, he belived the cunning words of the bird and set it free. Finally his trails to recapture it were futile. His repentance could not solve the problem. The gardener was fooled. The tricky bird disappeared. The three maxims which give happiness result in sarrow to the gardener.
