Question Numbers: 16-19
Read the following passage and answer the questions from 16-19.
When Arthur Bloxham was in his last term at oxford university he met a girl undergraduate who attracted him very much indeed. He asked Eve to tea once or twice and then, on the very last day of term, which happened to be fine and sunny, he suggested that they should go rowing on the river and take a picnic lunch with him. Arthur could not row well, but he managed to get a couple of miles upstream before it was time for lunch. Then the disaster occurred. Arthur stood up to climb out on to the bank, but he unfortunately overbalanced and upset the boat and both he and Eve fell into the river. The water wasn't deep, but it was cold and muddy, and when they had scrambled out Eve was furious.
