The word Volcano came from latin name Volcanus. Vulcanus was the Roman God of fire, and romans believed that a volcano on the island of volcunus was the home as well as the work place of vulcan. They thought a fire was burning inside the volcano and that vulcan worked at the fire, making horse shoes. Actually, there is no fire inside the volcano. What is inside the volcano is red-hot lava coming from deep with in the earth.
