"Yoga is supposed to lead to some kind of intuitive insight or to a collection of ecstasy. I have practised a few selected 'ASANAS' and some þreathing exercises but have not gone beyond the elementary exercises/stages of the body and my mind continues to be a misbehaving unruly member. The discipline of body, which includes eating and drinking the right things is to be accompanied by what the Yoga system describes as ethical preparations. This includes non-violence truthfulness, continence, etc. Non-violence or 'ahimsa' is something much more than abstention from physical violence. It is an avoidance of malice and hatred.
