Advanced writing is the last stage of writing. This stage focuses on the kinds of written and oral communication, reading, and research typical to particular areas of study and provides students opportunities to refine their communication skills. Controlled writing teaches students mechanics of writing accuracy. Guided writing enhances sentence structure and vocabulary of students. Free writing is a prewriting technique in which a person writes continuously without regard to spelling, grammar or topic. Guided writing is an approach which involves interaction between teacher and a group of students with similar writing needs.
