Bangladesh has invited PM Modi to join the celebrations of the 50 years of the country’s independence on 26 Mar 2021.

Earlier, he was scheduled to visit Bangladesh to join in the birth centenary celebrations of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman but it was cancelled due to the pandemic.

A virtual meeting between the PMs of India and Bangladesh is also likely to take place later in 2020.
