Aurangzeb was born as Abul Muzaffar Muhi-ud-Din Muhammad Aurangzeb and is commonly known as Aurangzeb Alamgir.
Aurangzeb disliked music and banned any form of music or dance in his kingdom in 1668.
It is well known that during his reign, he banned singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments in his empire as it was against the Islamic teaching to which Aurangzeb followed very dearly
