In female reproductive system, Bartholin’s (vestibular) glands are present on either side of the vaginal orifice which open by ducts into a groove between the hymen and labia minora. They produce a small quantity of mucus during sexual arousal and intercourse that adds to cervical mucus and provides lubrication. In male reproductive system, seminal vesicles, prostate and bulbourethral or Cowper’s glands are accessory sex glands. Semen contains sperm plus the secretions provided by the accessory sex glands
