(D) Gondwana, a historic region in central India, comprising portions of Madhya Pradesh,Telangana, Andhra Pradesh,and Maharashtra states. It is inhabited by the Gonds, a group of Dravidian-speaking peoples in the South East Region of Madhya Pradesh. The core region can be considered to be the eastern part of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, the parts of Madhya Pradesh immediately to the north of it, and parts of the west of Chhattisgarh.
