The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System(IRNSS) was developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It is designed to provide accurate position information service to users in India as well as the region extending up to 1500 km from its boundary, which is its primary service area. The IRNSS would provide two services, with the Standard Positioning Service open for civilian use, and the Restricted Service (an encrypted one) for authorized users (including the military). IRNSS-1 A, IRNSS- IB, IRNSS-1C, IRNSS-ID were launched by PSLV but IRNSS-1E, IRNSS-1F, IRNSS-1G have not been launched so far.
