(b) : Pollination by wind is called anemophily and such plants in which pollination occurs by wind are called anemophilous plants. Anemophilous plants are characteristized by small flowers, pollens present in large number which are small, dry and light in weight (carried upto 1300Km by wind), number of ovules generally reduced in ovary (biological significance), feathery or brushy stigma (to receive the pollen). Grasses and palms are generally anemophilous.
