The peninsular rivers in India include the Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna, Tapi, Narmada and Sabarmati. Ghaggar river is not a peninsular river. Ghaggar is a river of the Himalayan river system. It originates in Shivalik hills in Himachal Pradesh and flows through Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. The main tributaries of the Ghaggar are the Kaushalya, Markanda, Saraswati, Tangri and Chautang.
