Jawahar Lal Nehru hoisted the flag of India on 31st   December 1929 on the banks of Ravi River.

• The Indian National Congress(INC) adopted the resolution of ‘Poorna Swaraj’ on 19th   December 1929 at Lahore.
• The INC observed 26th January as the Independence Day of India.
• Poorna Swaraj was the complete self-independent resolution from the British Empire.
• The new Constitution of India as written and approved by the Constituent Assembly was mandated to require result on 26th January 1950 to commemorate the 1930 declaration.
