(3) Kaziranga National Park is situated in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam. It was established in 1908 and given the status of World Heritage Place by UNESCO in 1985. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses.
