(d) Young Bengal Movement was led by Henry Louis Vivian Derozio, who had come to Calcutta and was appointed in the Hindu College as a teacher of English literature and History. Derozio promoted reformist ideas through his teaching and by organizing an association for debates and discussions on literature, history and philosophy.
