Problem-oriented research understands the exact nature of the problem to find out relevant solutions. Qualitative research conducts inquiry for an in-depth understanding of the problems or issues in their natural settings. Quantitative Research analyzes collected statistical data to draw conclusions. Descriptive Research throws more light on current issues through a process of data collection. Exploratory research lays the foundation for more conclusive research. Explanatory research or causal research conducts experiments to understand the impact of certain changes in existing standard procedures. Thus, the main tasks of research are to keep pace with the advancement of knowledge, discover new knowledge through a systematic and objective examination and critical analysis of the investigations/sources/data collected.
