The Supreme Court is called the guardian of the Constitution as it protects the fundamental rights of citizens from being getting violated by any organ of the government. The Directive Principles of State Policy contained in Part IV, Articles 36-51 of the Indian constitution constitute the most interesting and enchanting part of the constitution. The idea of directives being included in the constitution was borrowed from the constitution of Ireland. The Directive Principles are non- justifiable in nature because they are not legally enforceable by the courts for their violation.
