(a) To meet Euro-II emission standards, sulphur content in the ultra-low sulphur diesel (ULSD)should be 0.05 percent or less than this. European emission standards for road vehicles are set in order to define the acceptable levels of exhaust emissions for new vehicles sold within the EU. The stages are typically referred to as Euro 1, Euro 2, Euro 3, Euro 4, and Euro 5 fuels for Light Duty Vehicle standards.
