The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, took place on 13thApril 1919 when troops of British Army under the command of Colonel R. Dyer fired rifles into a crowd of Indians, who had gathered in Jallianwala bagh, Amritsar.The civilians assembled to protest the arrest and deportation of two leaders, Satya Pal and Saifuddin Kitchlew.
