(b) India’s first national park was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, now known as Jim Corbett National Park, Uttrakhand.It was set up in 1935 in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttar Pradesh. In 1970, there were only five National Parks in India, namely Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Shivpuri,Tadoba and Corbett.
