The temple of Hazara Rama belongs to the Vijayanagara kingdom. Its construction was started in the year 1513 A.D. under the orders of Krishna Devaraya and was completed before the end of his reign. Hazara Rama Temple in Hampi was dedicated to Lord Rama. This temple depicts and portrays scenes from Ramayana and Mahanavami festival. The Hazara Rama Temple is believed to have been the private place of worship of the Royal family
