Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is situated in Wandoor at a distance of about 29 kilometres from Port Blair in Andaman. It was created in the year 1983. Sprawling over 281 sq. km., the park encompasses myriad lagoons, coral reefs, rainforests and mangrove creek. Angelfish, Giant Robber Crab, Lion or Scorpion Fish, Grouper Fish, Butterfly fishes, and Surgeon fishes are some of the endangered fish species seen here. Apart from fishes, one can also find here a good number of reptiles, birds and mammals.
