Sri Lanka is the island nation that went for the Parliamentary elections in the month of August 2015. The election was held ten months ahead of schedule to elect 225 members to Sri Lanka's 15th Parliament. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, leader of the United National Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) and United National Party (UNP), was able to form a national government with the support of United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA).
