Statement (d) is not correct with regard to ‘Project Tiger’. Launched in April 1973, Project Tiger has successfully emerged as one of the champion endeavours of tiger conservation as formulated by a special task force set up under Wildlife Conservation Act to address the problem of dwindling tiger population in the country. There are many tiger reserves in northeastern part of India, such as Dampa Tiger Reserve (in Mizoram), Pakui Tiger Reserve (in Arunachal Pradesh), Orang National Park (in Assam), Namdapha National Park (in Arunachal Pradesh), etc.
