K.N. Natarajan was the editor of the journal ‘Indian Social Reformer’ that was started in 1890. This journal – a weekly – was founded in Madras in 1890 by Kamakashi Natarajan, an associate of that great campaigning journalist and founder of ‘The Hindu’, G. Subramaniam Iyer. On the burning social issues of the day (such as the Age of Consent Bill), it pressed the wavering nationalist to take a progressive stance.
