The Mauryan capital of Pataliputra has been associated with the archaeological remains of Kumarahar and Bulandibagh. It was excavated thrice from 1896 to 1929 under the leadership of BCA Milz. The archaeological site Kumarahar and Bulandibagh is the remains of the Maurayan's capital Pataliputra. The remains which was found there are-Mauryan remains of wooden palissave and female figure (Bulandibagh) and ruins of the pillared hall and wooden platform (at Kumarahar).
