(c) The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is an international organisation founded in 1969, consisting of 57 member states, with 53 being Muslim majority countries. The permanent secretariat is the executive organ of the organisation, located in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). The organisation has consultative and cooperative relations with the UN and other inter-governmental organisations to protect the vital interest of the Muslims.
