Both the statements are correct. Tantraloka (Light on the Tantras), which Abhinavagupta wrote after he had attained enlightenment, is the monumental 12-volume encyclopedic work in verse that weaves together thoughts and ideas from a large number of authoritative scriptures. Trika philosophy aims at intelligent synthesis of all that is abiding and enduring in the six systems of Indian thought. The Samaraichchakaha by Haribhadra Suri written in Gujarat around the eighth century is technically not a tantric work, but is saturated with tantric ideas and practices.
