Statements 1, 2 and 4 were the features of the State of Arcotin the 18th century South India. The Mughal emperor of India,Aurangzeb established nawabdom in Arcot in the south during a period in which the Marathas were beginning to challenge his control of the areas of the sub-continent. The emperor made his general, Zulfikar Khan, the first nawab in 1690, midway through his long and successful reign. Daud Khan Panni (1703-1710) and Sa'adatullah Khan (1710-1732) were the prominent rulers of Arcot. Nawabs of Arcot ruled the Carnatic region of South India between about 1690 and 1801.
