(d) Cacophonic is having an unpleasant sound; Calamitous is causing or involving calamity; disastrous; Contraindicative is to indicate the inadvisability of (a medical treatment, for example); Cacographic is bad handwriting; Catastrophic is of, relating to, or involving a great, often sudden calamity; Cataclysmic is of, relating to, or involving a violent upheaval that causes great destruction or brings about a fundamental change. Clearly, Calamitous, Catastrophic and Cataclysmic have similar meanings.
