How is one-party system different from two party system? Explain with examples.
Solution:  
Difference between one-party and two-party systems:
 One-party system  Two-party system
 (i) Only one party is allowed to control and run the government.  Only two main parties have a serious chance of winning a majority of seats to form a government.
 (ii) It is nondemocratic system. For example, in China, only the Communist Party is allowed to rule.  It is democratic system. The United States of America and the United Kingdom are examples of a twoparty system.
