Question : 13
Total: 65
2(2x + 3) – 10 < 6(x – 2)
Solution:
The inequality is 2(2x + 3) – 10 < 6(x – 2)
Simplifying, 4x + 6 – 10 < 6x – 12 or, 4x – 4 < 6x – 12
Transposing 6x to L.H.S. and – 4 to R.H.S., we get
∴ 4x – 6x < –12 + 4 or – 2x < – 8
Dividing both sides by –2, we get x > 4
∴ The solution is (4, ∞).
